🌸 Helping moms navigate mental health & motherhood with tips, stories, & inspiration ✨
πŸ“– Parenting advice & practical tools to thrive as a mom πŸ’•

Your kids are watching everything. Not just what y Your kids are watching everything. Not just what you say, but who you ARE. πŸ‘€
How you handle stress. How you treat yourself when you make mistakes. How you show up in your marriage. How you respond when life gets hard.
They're absorbing your relationship with money, your boundaries (or lack of them), how you talk about your body, and whether you prioritize your mental health.
The way you love yourself becomes their blueprint for self-worth. The way you handle conflict teaches them how to navigate relationships.
You'll either be the reason they feel confident in who they are, or the reason they spend years in therapy learning to love themselves.
The healing work you do now isn't just for you - it's for them.
This is why I do the inner work. Why I go to therapy. Why I'm intentional about breaking generational patterns. Because my son is watching, and I want him to see what healthy looks like.
What's one thing you're modeling for your kids that you wish you had seen growing up? Let's normalize showing our children what healing looks like. πŸ‘‡

The conversations we should have had but didn't... The conversations we should have had but didn't...
Growing up, so many of us learned to minimize our needs, question our instincts, and believe that motherhood meant losing ourselves completely.
But here's what I wish someone had told me:
Your worth isn't measured by how much you sacrifice. Your needs matter. Your feelings are valid. And you can love your children fiercely while still honoring the woman you are.
These aren't just feel-good platitudes; they're the foundation of conscious parenting. When we show up authentically, set healthy boundaries, and prioritize our mental health, we're modeling emotional intelligence for our children.
The generational healing work is hard, but it's worth it. You're worth it. 🀍

The summer I got overstimulated and went home 🌸 The summer I got overstimulated and went home 🌸
Here's what I learned: Your nervous system doesn't lie. When it says 'this is too much,' that's not weakness talking, that's wisdom.
As mothers, we're conditioned to push through everything. But what if honoring our limits actually makes us better parents? What if teaching our children that it's okay to step away when overwhelmed is one of the greatest gifts we can give them?
This journey of conscious motherhood isn't about being perfect. It's about being present. And sometimes presence means knowing when to press pause.
πŸ’™ What's one way you've learned to honor your nervous system this summer?

As mothers, we're taught to push through everything - but those 'small' symptoms aren't small at all. They're your nervous system asking for help.

Watching him run reminds me that childhood is flee Watching him run reminds me that childhood is fleeting for us, but eternal for them 🀍
This moment will fade from my memory, but it's shaping his forever.
The way I respond when he falls. The patience I show when he's overwhelmed. The love I give when he's being "difficult" - these moments are building who he becomes.
My words become his inner voice. My reactions teach him how to treat himself when life gets hard. The safety I create now shapes how he sees relationships, love, and his own worth.
I'm not just raising a child, I'm raising someone's future partner, friend, and maybe parent. The healing I do now breaks cycles he'll never have to carry.
The childhood I'm giving him isn't just his present, it's his future peace. Every triggered moment I breathe through instead of react to is a gift to both of us.
He won't remember being two, but his nervous system will remember feeling safe, seen, and unconditionally loved.

Growing up, so many of us learned to be everything for everyone else. We learned that love meant sacrifice, that boundaries were selfish, and that our worth was earned through what we gave, not who we were.
But here's what I wish someone had told me:
Your mental health matters more than keeping everyone comfortable. You can love people AND need space from them. Healing isn't pretty or linear, and you don't owe anyone your trauma story to prove your pain is real.
I'm breaking these cycles for my son. Teaching him that rest isn't earned, that no is a complete sentence, and that his worth isn't conditional.
What's one piece of advice you wish you'd heard growing up? Share it below, let's give each other the words we needed. πŸ‘‡

"You look happier!" ✨ The medication conversatio "You look happier!" ✨
The medication conversation I was terrified to have...
As a psychology expert, I advocate for mental health treatment daily. But when it came to MY mental health? That was different.
"Not me. I don't need medication. I can therapy my way through this."
Then postpartum depression hit after my son was born: the intrusive thoughts, the rage, the complete disconnection from myself. I barely recognized who I'd become.
My PMDD was making every month unbearable. My ADHD was making motherhood feel impossible. I was drowning while teaching others how to swim.
Getting on antidepressants + ADHD medication wasn't giving up. It was giving myself permission to function. To be present. To be the mom my son deserved.
The stigma around maternal mental health medication is real. But so is the relief when you find what works.
If you're struggling, you're not broken. You're not weak. Sometimes our brains need support to do what they're meant to do.
